As I walk I hold my head up high, no more through death or weakness. As I talk I utter silly words, but my songs make so much sense.
I've swam through water, fire and mud in Hell,
I've slid through mud and ice,
I've seen great wonders of the Earth.
But now, now I walk in Heaven.
I've seen everything, something, nothing,
I've heard screaming, dying, nothing,
I've tasted wine, water, nothing,
I've smelt burning, rotting, nothing,
I've felt pain, love, and nothing.
At last in paradise I now lie, I've seen so many people die, Seen so many children yell, as I watched them all burn in hell. I've seen spirits scale the seas, I've seen wood and metal sink, I've hung off cliffs and banks of Rock, I've fallen to my death but lived. I've died at the hands of great evil, To be brought back by great evil. I've lived a thousand and one lives, a thousand homes, a thousand lies.
In Tennecotia there is rank, I take my hat to those who've drank; the everlasting war.
We're born in darkness, we're dead in darkness.
From the darkness of the womb, to the darkness of the tomb.
And if we come to see again, the light so bright, from which we fell; to where we climbed right out of hell into that beam of light; that peak so steep, so high you might fall back into the darkness of the void.
I fought so long; I still fight now, and people often wonder how I manage to keep my strength: So long as not to fall; instead to fight again.
Forever I will carry on:
I fight an everlasting war.
